The Rob Russell Memorial Scholarship Committee is happy to announce our 2024 recipient is Micah Grant. Micah played multiple sports including wrestling, football, and track. He was also all-state choir and earned a 3.94 GPA.
Micah’s references had amazing things to say about him – “extremely hardworking and mentally tough;” “he is dependable, works with enthusiast, takes everything in stride and doesn’t let the little things discourage him.”
His wresting coach stated “Micah endured injuries throughout his high school career, but he still wrestled through the pain. While some kids looked for excuses and reasons to skip practice, Micah ignored the pain and wanted to keep going. He is a tough competitor and someone you want in your corner.”
Micah embraces the grind of athletics and is a tough competitor. He broke a 30-year-old CHS record in wresting for having over 81 career pins.
In addition to his high school accomplishments, Micah contributes to his family, community, and church.
Micah will pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wyoming.
